If you have Windows 7 and you’re tired of your static desktop and find yourself yearning for the good old days of Vista when you could easily access animated wallpaper, then the solution may be Dream Scene Seven. This is a little application which you can download for nothing. Then you can choose from a fairly wide selection of moving wallpaper.

Pros: It will only cost you the price of some memory and then you get to look at pretty pictures.

Cons: It can be a tad fiddly to download and install.

Conclusion: You can revel in a bit of Vista nostalgia and prevent screen burnout at the same time. Dream Scene Seven works on Vista, XP and Windows 7. It’s free and lots of fun if you can be bothered with a couple of relatively minor installation issues.
